Gongos Forms “Strategy & Implementation” Practice—Appoints Amy Perifanos To Lead
Creative Director Alex Awn to Lead Design & Creative Communication Practice
ROYAL OAK, MI – October 29, 2019 – Gongos, Inc., a decision intelligence company, today announced the appointment of Amy Perifanos to Vice President, Strategy & Implementation, a newly formed practice area for the company. The Strategy & Implementation group drives growth for BtoC and BtoB organizations by developing and embedding customer-centric strategies into the fabric of the organization. The group focuses on competencies that support change management, employee experience, and human-centered innovation—all in service of building more customer-centric cultures on behalf of its clients.
Perifanos most recently led the company’s Design & Creative Communication practice, now to be led by Creative Director Alex Awn, who has been with the company since April 2019.
“Organizations are all in different places in their evolution toward operationalizing customer centricity,” said Gongos’ president & CEO Camille Nicita. “Combined with our consumer insights heritage, these two practice areas enable us to help our clients more comprehensively plan, adopt and activate against their customer-centric visions.”
Perifanos is responsible for leading a team of seasoned business strategists, change management and implementation experts, and trend specialists who apply consultative approaches in developing customer-centered growth strategies, while weaving them into corporate culture. Essential to this is ensuring employee and customer experiences are in lockstep. With Gongos since 2007, Perifanos was instrumental in launching the company’s Insight Curation practice and has led the growth of key client accounts in the food, beverage and lifestyle sectors. She also sits on the company’s leadership team.
“There is tremendous opportunity to translate organizational visions into tangible strategies that employees can engage in and act upon,” adds Perifanos. “Our approach is to deeply immerse ourselves in our clients’ businesses and work side-by-side with them to not only help navigate change but provide customized plans and implementation support for their business needs.”
As Creative Director, Awn will accelerate growth of the company’s Design & Creative Communication practice by ensuring that design elevates the understanding and activation of customer-centric strategies—from executive communications to internal campaigns that enhance employees’ ability to internalize and deliver on the company’s customer experience promise. Awn comes to Gongos from Tweddle Group where he led design, CGI and project strategy teams from strategic planning to implementation while mentoring the firm’s group of designers and developers.
“I encourage our team of designers and storytellers to design bravely,” says Awn. “It’s my job to help them simplify data and amplify insights that stand to reorient the consumer-corporate relationship, and challenge the status quo of what design can mean in our industry.”
